Nocatee Splash Water Park opens for the 2011 swim seasonBack to News
Nocatee residents and their guests celebrated the opening of the
2011 swim season at Nocatee Splash Water Park on Saturday. The
Water Park, along with the Nocatee Fitness Club and Crosswater
Hall, are considered to be one of the most dynamic and unique
residential amenities in Northeast Florida.
The water park has been accessible to residents for passive
enjoyment throughout the winter months, but with the return of the
warm weather all of the park amenities are open and resident
activities are resuming.
"The water park is fully staffed with life guards, an activities
coordinator and food concessionaire," said Portland Swan, Marketing
Director with the PARC Group, the community's master developer. "It
is truly spectacular, and is comparable to many major resort
amenities."
The Splash Water Park includes the Rip Tide Slides with
Northeast Florida's tallest slide tower complete with two
high-speed slides, The Lagoon Pool, The Lazy Tides River, the
Splash Cove interactive sprayground area for kids and The Cabana,
an area with covered seating and a summer kitchen that is available
for private reservation.
The concession area offers open-air seating and is adjacent to
volleyball courts, a children's playground and two nearby activity
lawns. As part of Nocatee Community Park, the Splash Water Park is
located by multipurpose ball fields, tennis courts and a dog
park.
"Nocatee residents have the opportunity to enjoy a very unique
lifestyle", said Swan. "The Ponte Vedra location, top rated
schools, greenway trails, and recreation facilities make Nocatee a
one-of-a-kind community".
