Nocatee Parkway extension open to area trafficBack to News
The PARC Group, master developer of Nocatee announced the phased
opening of the final segment of Nocatee Parkway. Nocatee Parkway
opened to westbound traffic on Friday the 22nd, with
eastbound roadways to open within the next 30 days.
Nocatee Parkway is a limited-access, divided highway from the
Intracoastal Waterway to US1 at Racetrack Road. The completed
Parkway includes multiple-grade separated interchanges allowing for
uninterrupted traffic flow from the east and west, several
overpasses, on and off ramps at US1 and Racetrack Road and for
southbound US1 traffic a new high-speed flyover. Westbound traffic
on Nocatee Parkway will open this week with eastbound traffic
opening in early November once county inspects are complete.
"This is an important and strategic milestone for the Nocatee
project," said Richard T. Ray, Managing Partner with The PARC
Group. "Completion of the Parkway many years ahead of plan will be
of immediate benefit to Nocatee residents and area commuters".
The completed thoroughfare will allow for easy access by Nocatee
residents to Jacksonville, I-95 and the new SR9B. The Parkway
will also serve as a critical hurricane evacuation route for
beaches residents.
Nocatee is located just minutes from the beaches and convenient
to Jacksonville and historic St. Augustine. For updates on the
